He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires, specializing in macroeconomics, money, and finance.
He was the director of the Economics Department at the University of Buenos Aires and a researcher at CEDES. He has led numerous international projects in his field of expertise and has published extensively in Argentina and abroad.
He is currently a member of the National Academy of Economic Sciences and an Emeritus Professor at the University of San Andrés.
He holds a Master’s in Economics from Michigan State University, a PhD in Economics from the Catholic University of Córdoba, and a PhD in Law and Social Sciences from the National University of Córdoba.
He served as Director of Gas del Estado (1985-1986), Director and President of YPF S.E. (1987-1989), Secretary of Energy of the Nation (1999-2000), and Director of YPF S.A. (2015-2020).
He is currently a consultant for the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and research for international forums related to energy. He is a Postgraduate Professor at CEARE (Center for the Study of Energy Regulation) at the University of Buenos Aires.
In 1991, he founded Montamat & Asociados, a consultancy firm based in Buenos Aires, providing advisory services to public and private entities in Argentina and Latin America on energy and environmental issues.
He is the author of several books on economic and energy topics. His latest book, published by EUDEBA, is “The Petroleum Rent in Argentina.”
He was honored by the Honorable Senate of the Nation with the Domingo Faustino Sarmiento Merit Diploma for his contribution to the formation of basic consensus and state policies in the energy sector.
Certified Public Accountant from the National University of Córdoba. He currently serves as President of the Córdoba Stock Exchange and President of the Foundation for the Advancement of Medicine.
He is a member of the Business Council, an advisor to the International Foundation for Freedom, and the founding entrepreneur of numerous official vehicle dealerships such as Avant S.A., M. Tagle (h) y Cia. SACIF, Motor S.A., among others.
Additionally, he is the founding entrepreneur of the companies Country de las Sierras and Denat, participating in model real estate developments in the province.
He is a contributing opinion columnist for the newspaper La Voz del Interior and has published numerous articles of great interest.
He holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Blas Pascal University and a Master’s in Business from the Business School of the Catholic University of Córdoba. He has also participated in a magistrate program on Public Economy and Social and Regional Economic Policies at the National University of Córdoba.
He is the owner of Qualita S.A. meat processing plant and La Quimera S.A., a company dedicated to pig farming and the cultivation of soybeans, corn, and wheat.
He served as Mayor of the City of Jesús María, Córdoba, receiving the Efficient City Award. He was also President of the Rural Society of Córdoba, one of the country’s leading rural societies.
He is currently a national deputy representing the Córdoba district.
Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE), with a postgraduate degree in Capital Markets under the UBA/IAMC/BCBA agreement.
He has also completed various specializations in Futures and Options at the Chicago Board of Trade, Agricultural Futures at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and Alternative Energies in San Diego, California, USA.
He is currently the Managing Partner of the financial consulting firm Silver Cloud Advisors S.A., a Global Investment Advisory Agent certified by the National Securities Commission (CNV), Secretary General of the Ibero-American Federation of Stock Exchanges (FIAB), and Director of the Argentine Institute of Capital Markets (IAMC).
He has extensive experience in the media, including radio, television, and print journalism. He has also taught finance and capital markets at various educational institutions.
He holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from the Catholic University of Argentina and a Master’s in Economics with a specialization in Macroeconomics and Financial Markets from the University of Buenos Aires.
He worked at the consulting firm Julio A. Piekarz & Associates, at Itaú Bank Argentina in Private Banking, bonds and stocks, and at Itaú Chile as a Global Credit Research Specialist.
He served as an advisor to the Minister of Economy of the Argentine Republic from 2016 to 2019.
Currently, he is an economic and financial consultant, offering financial advisory services both locally and internationally, and he leads the economic consulting firm FMyA (Fernando Marull y Asociados).
He has various publications on economics and finance.
He actively contributes to editorial columns on economics in renowned national and international media outlets (LN+, Clarín, La Nación, Infobae, CNN, The Economist, Financial Times, and Bloomberg) and advises both local and international clients.

He is currently the Executive Director of Fulbo Galaxy and the CEO of Aconcagua Games, a team of game designers, developers, and artists leading the DeFi revolution in the video game sector.
Co-founder of Educ.ar, the first educational platform in Argentina aimed at connecting public schools to the internet, facilitating the distribution of digital content for both students and teachers.
Co-founder of Pure Design, the largest design fair in Argentina, with the objective of offering opportunities to artists and designers by connecting them with new markets globally.
He dedicated nearly a decade to the music industry, managing the international career of the artist Shakira.
He joined the U.S. hospitality company Nomade People as Senior Vice President of Wellbeing and Partnerships, focusing on transformative experiences, music, and luxury hospitality.
A scholar of various forms of personal transformation and with a deep interest in philosophy, he founded Spinoza, a Dutch company that explores how the combination of psychology, mushroom-based therapies, and sound can contribute to being more peaceful, compassionate, and creative individuals.
A resident of Uruguay, but constantly moving between Europe, Morocco, and North America, he has developed an extensive international network, promoting a new way of understanding life and business.
